What We Do

North Korea Project

North Korea Project

North Korean Children Support Program
We provide soymilk and bread for children, the future leaders of a unified generation, nurturing children’s growth and development. Food, daily necessities, school supplies, sports equipment etc. are distributed to orphanages, day care centers, kindergartens, elementary and special schools for the disabled, thus creating more comfortable and healthier living environments.
The NK Disabled Support Program
Since 2006, the Lighthouse Foundation has been supporting the disabled in cooperation with a North Korean disabled organization, the Korean Federation for the Protection of the Disabled(KFPD). On top of supplying rehabilitation and educational equipment for the disabled, we have provided vehicles, renovation and furnishing materials, and other equipment. Furthermore, in May 2007, we were thrilled to establish the first self-reliance welfare center for the disabled, the “Botonggang Jonghap Pyunyee” in Pyongyang. Based on the agreement with KFPD in 2007, we support visually and hearing-impaired children in special schools in North Korea.
